South Maui Beaches

Maui’s South Shore Beaches
Do you know what the longest beach is on Maui? I’ll give you a hint, it’s located along Maui’s south shore – Sugar Beach (see below). When it comes to beach time on the South shore, earlier is usually (almost always) better. This is especially true if you want to visit sugar beach, as it’s close to Ma’alaea Harbor (the second windiest harbor in the world). The further down the south shore you go, the more time you’ll have in the morning before it get’s windy. Maui’s south shore is split between Kihei (north / south), Wailea, and Makena (Makena being the furthest south). I’ve listed all the beaches on Maui’s south shore below, split up by where they are located. Click any beach to read about it.
